We’ve been busy behind the scenes at The Nook, giving the restaurant a fresh new look while keeping everything people already know and love about us.
From new tables and refreshed flooring to an updated bathroom and a revitalised outside space, the whole team has helped bring the latest version of The Nook to life.

What has changed at The Nook?
Quite a lot, although the aim was never to make The Nook feel like a completely different place.
We wanted to freshen things up, improve the space and make it even more enjoyable whether you’re joining us for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks or one of our smokehouse favourites.
The refurbishment has included:
- New tables throughout the restaurant
- Refreshed flooring
- An updated bathroom
- Improvements to the main restaurant space
- A revitalised outside dining area
- Plenty of finishing touches throughout
Did the team help with the refurbishment?
Yes, and that has made the whole project feel even more special.
The team got properly involved in the refurbishment, helping with the work, the clearing out and the finishing touches that have brought everything together.
There was plenty of work going on while we were closed, but seeing the restaurant come back together made it all worthwhile.
What does the new restaurant space look like?
The refreshed interior keeps the character of The Nook while giving everything a cleaner, more modern feel.
The new tables have become a real feature of the restaurant, while the updated floors and refreshed dining areas help the whole space feel brighter and more welcoming.
We’ve also kept the details that make The Nook feel like The Nook, including our relaxed atmosphere, open kitchen and plenty of character throughout the building.
Has the outside area been updated too?
Yes. Our outside space has had some attention as part of the refurbishment and is now ready to welcome guests again.
With greenery overhead, plenty of seating and the original stone walls surrounding the area, it is a great spot for food, drinks and catching up with friends.
What food can you enjoy at The Nook?
The new look might be getting plenty of attention, but the food is still at the heart of everything we do.
You can join us throughout the day for breakfast and lunch, or come along for our smokehouse menu featuring low and slow meats, loaded plates and plenty of big flavours.
And there is even more happening at The Nook, with our new Sunday roasts arriving from 4th October.
